The Story Behind DeenStory

Faith begins here.
With personal stories your child
can truly call their own.

DeenStory was created to help Muslim children build a deep and positive connection with their faith from an early age.

Through beautifully illustrated, personalised storybooks, we place your child at the heart of meaningful Islamic moments, making learning feel warm, exciting, and personal.

Our stories are designed to nurture identity, confidence, and love for for the Deen, while creating memories families can cherish together for years to come.

Chapter 1: Many Summers Ago

Back in Summer 2022, a small idea quietly took shape.

I remember thinking,

“By next Ramadan, I’ll write a beautiful Islamic storybook for children, thoughtfully written and lovingly illustrated.”

A lovely plan.

Ramadan came and went.

Then the next one.

And yes, even the one after that.

Life happened. The idea stayed.

Until Summer 2025, when the words finally began to flow and the first DeenStory script started coming together, carefully written, revised, and shaped with intention.

That was the moment DeenStory stopped being an idea and became a story in motion.

Chapter 2: Finding the Right Hands

With the story finally taking shape, the next question mattered just as much.

Who would bring it to life?

Not just someone who could draw, but someone who understood warmth, childhood, and faith. Someone whose illustrations would feel gentle, inviting, and timeless.

We looked. We waited. We passed on work that felt rushed or impersonal.

Until we found an illustrator whose style felt right. Soft. Expressive. Full of care.

From that moment, the world of DeenStory began to appear on the page. Characters gained warmth. Scenes gained feeling. The story finally had a home to live in.

Chapter 3: Finding Our Voice

As the first book began to take shape, we felt it was important to build connection before launch.

In late November, DeenStory shared its very first animated reel on Instagram (shown here). We chose animated content so that the key message of Islamic characteristics and mindset was delivered in a visually appealing and dynamic way.

What happened next surprised us.

Within just two months, and before the first book was officially released, a community of over 100,000 people had gathered across Instagram and TikTok.

Not because of a product.

But because the message resonated.

That early support reminded us why DeenStory needed to exist.

Chapter 4: The Testing

Before sharing the story with the world, we paused.

We tested. And tested again.

Colour had to feel warm and true.

Paper needed to feel substantial in small hands.

Durability mattered, because this wasn’t a book meant to be read once and put away.

Pages were reviewed, finishes compared, and details refined until everything felt right.

Because when a child opens a book, the way it looks, feels, and holds in their hands matters just as much as the words inside.

Only then was it ready to move forward.

Chapter 5: The Launch

Bismillah.

On Monday 19th January 2026, the 1st of Sha’ban 1447, just 30 days before Ramadan, DeenStory officially opened its doors.

The website went live.

The first book was released.

And after years of intention, patience, and quiet work, the story finally reached the world.

We chose this moment deliberately. A month before Ramadan. A time of reflection, renewal, and preparation.

What began as an idea many summers ago was now something real.

A story crafted to be read, shared, and revisited
